September 15th 2013 ~District 1180 Disabled FUN Games

What a day, overcast, high winds up to 40mph with breaks of sunshine. This did not deter the enthusiasm of the disabled Contestants from participating in the various games ranging from Carpet-bowls, Cricket, Cycling, Darts, Tennis, Archery and many others activities.IMG_0808_2 Disabled FUN Games 2013

Unfortunately by early afternoon the threatening rain did arrive at “The Field of Dreams” owned by The Bank of America and the final medal ceremony officiated by the Mayor of Chester had to be held in the undercover car-park. Even so all agreed they had enjoyed the day and the FUN day experience.IMG_0816_3 Disabled FUN Games 2013IMG_0883_1 Disabled FUN Games 2013

Thanks go to the Bank of America for use of the venue plus all Rotarians and Volunteers who helped to make this a day to remember.

Also thanks go to Molly Youd (Wrexham Yale) for the photos of that day.
