27th June 2015 ~ Rotary at the Christleton Village Fete

Wirral Pipe Band

On a warm and sunny afternoon the Christleton Village Fete got underway with a parade, led by the Wirral Pipe Band, through the Village to the Christleton Primary School field.

Many of the adults and children in the parade were dressed as animals in the Zoo, which was the theme of the Fete fancy dress competition.

At the field crowds gathered to enjoy the music entertainment and the arena displays given by the Pipe Band and Vale Royal Falconars , together with the many games, food, drinks and ice-cream stalls.IMG_0071

Rotarians Barry, Mike and Malcolm from Chester Deva Rotary were joined by Tony from Tarporley Rotary to run a Rotary Public Relations stall at the Fete.

The stall showed off the contents of a Shelter Box used to help to given shelter and facilities to people following an emergency or disaster. IMG_0046

Also the stall presented pictures and details of many of the events the Rotary Club has been involved in or has raised funds for during recent years.

Thanks go to the Organisers of  the Christleton Village Fete for supporting the Chester Deva Rotary Club in running this Rotary information stall at the venue.
