November 2015 ~ Donation to Charity organisation WHAG.

Chester Deva Members welcomed a representative from the Charity (WHAG) Kate Oaks, who gave a brief outline of the Charity’s work.

The Women Housing Action Group (WHAG) is a charitable organisation, that was founded in 1981 in Rochdale, to offer housing and support to Homeless vulnerable women aged 16 -65. Over the years their work has expanded to include Domestic Abuse of women and men.

WHAG currently holds contracts in Cheshire West and Chester, Rochdale, Bury and Wigan to assist the homeless in these areas.

Club President Ty Price was pleased to present a cheque for £1600 to the Charity for their future work for the homeless.

PP Barry James comments that WHAG provides a valuable service to local communities in Cheshire West and Chester and considers WHAG a worthwhile charity. He also thanks all Rotarians, friends and those in the public, who helped raise these funds during his year of office.
